Gross

Update: The mouse is out! The poor little guy (or girl) got caught last night. Don't ask how. I'd prefer not to relive that moment. Thanks for the suggestions!

Ok, so I'm almost embarrassed to post this but since I'm posting everyday this month here goes:
I woke up this morning with another headache. So bad, I decided to call in at work and work from home today (once I felt better). So I called in and went back to bed. Then I got up around 9:30, logged in to the network at work, and started working on close stuff. I glance up and what do I see? A mouse running out from behind our bookcases into the kitchen! Yuck! We've lived in this apartment for a year and a half now and so far have loved it. They are new, clean, quiet (most of the time) and in a great area. I have no idea how a mouse got in. We live on the second floor, keep our apartment clean, and so far have had no unwanted guests (other than the occasional spider). So I headed to Wal-Mart for some sticky traps. I have 2 set out so far. I don't know what I'm going to do if it actually gets caught. I almost wish Randy was getting home earlier than 8 tonight! But I can do this (hopefully)! Any suggestions if the sticky traps don't work?

The conventional mousetraps are the tried and true way, plus they kill the mouse for you unlike the sticky ones (at least I think that the sticky ones wouldn't kill a mouse).

The other traditional way is to acquire a cat. (though you could always try a rat snake, less fur means less allergies, kidding, mostly)

yea -- the sticky ones are really sad... once it gets stuck, you got to do the killin' unless you're okay with letting it die a slow and torcherous death. i agree with your friend jacob -- an old fashioned mousetrap or a cat. good luck!! when we had a mouse in the house, grant and i worked together with a couple of brooms and scooted it out the door.

Old fashioned ones work a lot better. We had a mouse in our garage, and he some how got off the sticky trap. We had to go back and get the snapper kind and it did the job. I couldn't sleep knowing there was a mouse in our garage.
