TGIF

TGIF - Who out there remembers when ABC had TGIF on Friday night? Webster, Different Strokes, Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Boy Meets World, and probably some others I don't remember. It was always fun on Friday nights, because we got to eat something fun, like pizza or Sonic, and stay up and watch all "our" shows. We always thought TGIF stood for Thank Goodness it's Friday. Turns out it actually means Thank Goodness It's Funny. Who would have thought? What were your favorite TV shows as a kid? I'd love to hear. Leave me a comment.

I loved TGIF! Definitely watched "Family Matters" all the time. When I was a teenager, my favorite show was probably "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." Funny stuff, although I'm not sure I would let my kids watch it now...

Lots of memories of Urkle. Come to think of it, it was something we all looked forward to as a family. Also Saturday morning cartoons were great. I have a distict memory of waking up really early one morning thinking it was Saturday and turning on the television to my shock and horror the news being on because it was indeed a weekday.

Glad to know we all grew up with the "wholesome" influence of Urkle. You guys are going to love tomorrows post. Let's just say it is a flashback of cartoons!

TGIF! I loved Fridays. I have the same memories too. Getting to eat fun stuff and turning off the lights and laying on big pillows in the floor and watching "Saved by the Bell."
