Avery's 7th Month

7th Month Milestones - 12/4/10

Height - 26 inches plus a little??

Weight - I'm guessing 14+ lbs.

Sleeping - You usually go to bed between 7:30 and 8:30 depending on what we have going on that day. You still wake up once a night, usually, to eat. Your naps have started getting longer though. 2 hours in the morning and 1 to 1.5 hours in the afternoon. Then all of the sudden you started waking up 2 and 3 times a night! What is going on baby girl?! I really think its the combo of teething and a possible growth spurt? Hoping we get back on a once a night routine soon.

Eating - You eat every 3 to 4 hours during the day, about 4 to 6 oz. or so, and usually only wake once to eat at night. We slowly re-introduced cereal and baby food this month. You seem to be doing ok with it. You love sweet potatoes, carrots, pears, and prunes. We also tried squash this month and it seems to be going over well. You love, love, LOVE eating apple slices in your mesh feeder thingy. I think it feels good on your gums. :) Mommy just realized we haven't given you any green veggies yet! Oops! Guess we gotta do that next month.

New discoveries - You can move! You offically started crawling 2 days before your 7 month birthday. You had mastered the up on all fours rocking back and forth, but couldn't quite figure out how to move all four at once. Then after Mrs. Marilyn dropped you off that day, Mommy put you down on the floor and you took off! We were so excited. It was slow and steady but you definitely were on the move. Now we have to get the house baby proof cause if you are anything like Mommy or Daddy, you are going to be in EVERYTHING!!

New accomplishments - Crawling! Enough said.

Places you went - To Tyler for Bella's Birthday party - 1st trip to the zoo. To Odessa for Thanksgiving with Mim, Pa-pa, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Drew, Bella, Great Uncle Steve, Janna and Chad, Bryan and Amber, Brad and Jennifer, Tristan, Gavin and Ethan. This was your first 5+ hour car ride and you did pretty great. We got to spend the whole week with lots of family and you were definitely the center of attention (with Bella of course!). We also took you to BassPro for the first time to see Santa.

Special Memories - Taking you to the zoo for the first time. You loved the white tigers. It was so cold, so next time we'll be sure and take you when it is warm. Thanksgiving you got spoiled by the whole family. It was fun to see you interact with each of them. When we took you to see Santa you didn't even flinch. Mommy sat you on his lap and you sat there like a pro. Such a big girl!

This was a month of big changes for you. You learned how to crawl and are now on the MOVE! I have a feeling our lives are going to be pretty exciting from here on out. You love discovering the world around you. The simplest things hold your attention for several minutes. Your spoon is one of your favorite toys - we don't usually go anywhere without it. Mommy and Daddy can't believe you now are closer to your 1st birthday than to the day you were born. Time is flying and while we are loving every moment of it, we are learning to slow down and enjoy the simple things. We pray that you will continue to discover the wonder of the world around you. We pray that you will grow up with a curiosity to know more about God. We are so excited about the months and years ahead. We love you, baby girl, more than you know!
Love you baby girl!
